Fantastic pictures, Brant, never seen those pics before. I've always thought the Raycycle was a beautifully finished motorcycle and such a pity that so few exist. Thanks for taking the time, and making the effort to post those pictures.

....I was puzzled (easy to do) about the seat post seen in the Racycle pics above, I was thinking it might have been spring loaded for seat suspension, but that wouldn't make any sense with a horizontal post like that! So, must have been made that way to accommodate longer or shorter legs by moving the seat forward or to the rear?

That was called "Monkey on a Stick". Many bikes of that day relied on the spring suspension of seat makers like Messinger, Troxel, etc.to make the ride easier on the rear end. H-D, and others figured that out and came up with the spring seat post. I recall reading in an early 'Motorcyclist, and Bicyclist' trade magazine that riders of the day hated the narrow seats, and rough ride of early bikes. The bicycle roots of early motorcycles lingered into the 1920's.
