Eric, When I visited the Schwinn archives, which were then stored at the original downtown Arnold and Schwinn bicycle factory, in 1992 just before they tore down the Cortland St. original 1914 Excelsior factory I got to go through a lot of original files, paper work and blueprints. I found a lot of parts and rider instruction books in German. Some blueprints were for the dual back band brake (inner and outer) and other pieces required for European export machines. My friend Thomas Bund from Germany had a plate attached to his imported Super X that was required for export. RichDrSprocket
