      • I noticed the feet of the woman on the left look like AI slop.

            • Just came across this online. It's a couple of postmen on bikes in Avoca, Texas. Can anyone tell what year the bikes are? I'm thinking 1911 Excelsior, but I'm not great at distinguishing them from those early years.

                  • Another possibility? I've been looking for more photos as I live just just down the road. Stole this one from Ebay. There was a hillcimb at Slinger, Wi. too.

I believe you are correct about the year 1911, Eric. '10 and '11 Excelsiors were quite similar and the Robie years were very interesting. Had Fredrick Robie been able to keep it together financially, I think his brilliance would have produced some great motorcycles. However, Ignaz Schwinn can't be denied his devotion, and hard work to make Excelsior a brand that is still revered today.

                        • This guy on the Raycycle is definitely a bad A$$ biker of the day. Open muffler type and not a member of the muffler Mike club. . . Look at the smirk on his face.

                            • Nice pictures. Note rear axle and sprocket are still cadmium plated. First year chromed taillight cup and last year flat tail light lens. First year brake light switch and only year for long white hand grips. And those shielded spark plug covers for the radio equipped bikes are sure hard to find today.
