    • Roger Reiman, Kewanee Illinois [Rieman's HD] on KR road racer at Greenwood raceway near Des Moines Iowa 1966 program.
Roger was tragically killed at Vintage races at Daytona.
Roger's Dad, Hank was National Hillclimb Champion in 1941.I met & talked to Hank at Roger's estate auction.
There was a room full of Roger's KR stuff, Bob Hoh told me about the evolution of KR racers while we looked at the rare KR parts.

        • Dale Waksler bought Hank's 1941 WR Hillclimber at Rieman's auction. Roger was restoring it & wasn't finished when he died.

              • The photo of Dot and Motor Maids in post #5063 must be circa 1950. Don't believe I had a photo of Dot on that particular motorcycle in my files, I do notice the Muffler Mike decal prominent on the windscreen.

This is a 1948 dated photo of the Peoria MC that the H-D Museum posts often.

                • The last 3 pics were in the 1950 Peoria. Probably taken in 1949. Dot's Panhead has rough cast legs but no longer painted. With Dot & Earl being HD dealers they may have modified her bike when brand new. Cone top Stag beer ! Used to find them everywhere ! Here is PBR 1948 Milwakee program. I have an original Muffler Mike Decal from 1948, bought from the original Motor Maid that had it ! The repros online were computer generated & sucked. I posted mine with dimensions & better repros came out on ebay a week later !

                            • Here 's some more, # 55 Roger Reiman with his Dad Hank & his Mom 1961 Daytona winner. I remember Bob Hoh telling me about the evolution of KR brakes & this was one of them in Roger's special KR room where Bob & I were talking. In the show room at Reiman's HD there was an area with many pics & Hank & Roger's biggest trophys. I went there with a friend who bought parts from Roger while I was gawking. A few years ago a guy brought his Dad's '72 sporty that hadn't run for many years, Roger had built the motor & bike for his dad & was the last to work on it. One of the smoothest running Ironhead motors that I worked on.

                              • Roger,
About 20 years ago I was at a car swap meet in Daytona. There was an elderly couple there selling scrapbooks of newspaper clippings. Every year during Bike Week they would cut out motorcycle related articles and paste them in scrapbooks. I looked through them and there were articles about the races from the early 50s to the 70s. I bought them.
When I would go to Bike Week I would take them to the Indian Breakfast and the Speedway during the vintage races. I would find some of the riders in the clippings and ask them to sign the page that mentioned their name, Got a lot of famous autographs.
One of those riders was Roger Reiman. It was March 3, 1997.Sadly, he was killed the next day practiciing for the BMW Battle of the Legends. What a shock!
                                Dave
