Cool chopper from my area. Yogi was best friend to my brother in law. Mark Tade was a young local photographer hired by his HS friend Yogi. This was Mark's first paid freelance job in 1969, Iowa City IA. Yogi sent the color slides & B&W negatives to Lou Kimzey, editor for Big Bike. The pics weren't used before Kimzey left to start Easyriders. Easyriders put it in the first issue but didn't use the color pics only B&W & the slides & negatives were never returned. They were supposed to return them. Mark recently found this one color print that he was able to restore. I saw the bike several times before the mag came out.

More Mark Tade pics of Yogi. Yogi did custom paint based out of a shop in Coralville IA., Custom Cycle Design. The gold leaf snake was done by spraying black over his thumb that covered the gold keaf.
