I have the tool that you are displaying, but mine has the spring and rubber bushing that is shown in the catalog. My question is what is the purpose of the spring and bushing? It's easy to figure what to do with the tool itself.Originally posted by 1937hd View PostPanhead tool.

45 clutch tool, works on both '40 and earlier and '41 up clutches to remove lock nuts (and adjust spring pack spacing on the early one) DCP_3959.JPG .

They will fit fine, I am just referring to the time frame it was produced for, there are a couple earlier versions that do not do the later cranks due to width constraints.Originally posted by aumick10 View PostRubone, when you say 30's up style for the crank jig, does that mean that the JD cranks do not fit in that style.
