I would like to warn other bike builders of Geloman's in Spain, I sent him money to build a frame and front end for my 1917 Harley Project about 5 months ago and all I getting is excuses. Here is a link to his sight, Best American Antique Race Motorcycle Parts Selling Website › Geloman. Please be careful when dealing with this guy. I am out 5000 euros and he keeps making excuses why he has not completed my order. Take Care

Welcome, Curtis.
I'm just going to throw in my 2 cents. I have bought from Christian a few times in the past and yes, it did take a long time but I always received my parts. I was always happy with what I got and never felt like I was being scammed. Hopefully that can give you a little peace of mind.

...we sometimes see other members ask about a particular vendor when things might not seem right (e.g. long waits, poor communication, etc.) without accusing the vendor of fraud. Never personally dealt with Geloman's but I know a person who has and who would echo the reports above of very good quality and worth the wait.
...as are many disappointments, it's all about your expectationsPisten Bully is Harry Roberts in Vermont.

I would agree as well.... I've dealt with Christian many times. Often, but not always, he is slow to deliver, but always does deliver. With that said, I've never bought big items from him, just smaller Excelsior sheet metal parts mostly. They always look great but I've come to accept that every part I get from him needs some tweeking in order to get them to fit right, some more than others. On one occasion, I sent him a very nice original Excelsior generator bracket and belt guard, both 2 piece items. He used them as patterns and I knew a few guys that needed them, including myself. I was very concerned, because he had them for a long time and I was about to write it off as a foolish move and a loss on my part. He did return the originals and made a number of very good reproductions. Be patient, but keep on him.

i have only bought 2 parts from him & they were nice & shipped fast.
however, a friend bought a set of 1916 type forks & they took a very long time to get, like a couple of years, and were complete trash. i held them in my hand personally. they were not worth using.
if you need a 15-24 type HD frame, sean jackson at Competition Distribution makes excellent frames now, as well as new JD cylinders that are in stock.

I went through something similar with a vendor. Much like you, I was told by many AMCA members who had done business with the vendor that I was the problem, not the vendor.
Later, the truth about the vendor came out:

I just received this message form Geloman. Hi Curtis,
I just noted that you gave a negative vote on eBay saying that I did not deliver. Obviously you want to blackmail me, which is a criminal act. So please revise your negative.
Otherwise I ll close the door and stop working for you. Christian. He will not return my money or deliver my parts, he just said that he will steal from me.

Looks like a bit of hyperbole on both ends. Most or all of this could have been avoided if the seller had just kept the lines of communication open. If Christian has the time to review his eBay ratings and voice objections to the negative feedback, he had/has time to keep the buyer up to date.
Probably also could have avoided this situation of the 5000 Euros would have been sent via Paypal.

Not alll but some vendors feel like they have us. I have been attempting to purchase something from a vendor for two years now. I know it's not me because I have heard from others who have received the same treatment. 5 thousand euros is serious coinage (5850) USD. I've had a guy rebuilding my 1963 Chev C-10. The day he took the job on he told me he works on old trucks on the weekend to relax. He does insurance jobs during the week, He told me it would take 5 years, During this process his wife died, he called me and told me it was going to be a year longer as he was grief stricken. I have no problems with this, he's the best old Chevy guy in the Carolinas.Every time I'm down home I go check in on the progress and couldn't be more satisfied. I should be picking it up at the end of May. Communication is something that should be paramount in a situation such as this.It doesn't take much, and means a lot.Pete Cole AMCA #14441

I will defend Christian Henn to a point. I know he is slow due to being a contractor and procurer of goods from outside makers. However, I do think Curtis is owed an explanation and regular updates for the delays. In that respect, he has right to be upset. But, I don't want to see this forum used as a whipping post to beat-up buyers and seller who have problems. This is where it gets ugly and every story has 2 sides. Everyone in this hobby has a story of deals that didn't go well and myself, and everyone else loves to tell their tales of woe, and regret about deals gone bad. . . . . In my opinion; deal with it between you and your hated enemy.
Don't bring it here !

Can't blame you for being upset after so many months.
