And then there is the idea that we are here on earth to get a certain amount of things done before we die.
        This is a great theory.
If it is true, I am so far behind that I will never die...

          • Karl Heckrich and Guy Webb owned the HD dealer (Heckrich & Webb) in St Paul from sometime in the 20's and sold out to Howard Belmont in 1939. Karl then started a shop in Minneapolis and ran it at least into the 50's because he has advertising in the local paper at least that late. Guy Webb seems to have just disappeared.

I still think that bike under the tarp is a Crocker. Never seen heads like that on an Indian or H-D.

                      • It appears to be a factory photograph. Is there a number in the lower corner.

chris i think your right,it looks alot like the factory shots.no numbers though.the actual photo is twice the size of the standard postcard size too.at first it looks like this unusual belt drive was an add on,but the rear of the frame is a belt drive frame, while the bike is basically chain drive.the frame is a one off frame.

                          • That is an odd set up isn't it? A photo like that would be priceless to the fella that stumbled upon a bike like that. I know there were belt-drives in '13 and '14 but I've never seen a set up like that...... Cool photo jurassic........thanks for sharing it!

I have the advertisement in my literature somewhere. I will try to dig it out today and post. It was an aftermarket company.
