Glad to know he has other fan's out there Cotten. I have several hundred pictures related to Armando, most from posts his son Ken did about him. Ken also posted his autobiography that tells many of the stories that go with the pictures. The first picture you posted Cotten was when Armando was robbed of his victory in the 1939 Oakland 200. The second picture of him and Dot was taken when he was competing in the 1940 Daytona 200. Below is Armando's account of that Oakland 200 race, and a couple more pictures of that Daytona race...

I'm guessing the picture of Armando and Lu in BigLakeBob's post #1094 was taken in the late 30's when Armando was a member of the Capital City Motorcycle club in Sacramento. He was a member of several club's throughout his life, and was a founding member of our Fort Sutter Chapter of the AMCA. Here is a picture of him and the CCMC in 1937.

And here is a picture of his wife Lu with the Sacramento Cyclettes. According to Lu, "The men wouldn't let us into their club, so we started our own". Lu is in the back row, fourth from the right. I'm guessing the picture was taken the same time as Armando's CCMC picture as the bike and background look to be identical.

Is 'John B. Hoefeler" taken Aug. 30, 1914 at the St. Louis Motordrome.
