Referencing the Foot Brake Pedal Spring. I believe the part number is N4270. Where does the front of this spring mount? Does anyone have a picture they would post of this spring and it's mounting position?

Ok! So I was wondering how long it would take. Photobucket has "invited" me to update my account. I have all of my pictures in a file. Should also be in order. My question would be: Can I go back to each of these posts and "edit" them by inserting the image? It would probably show a link instead of the photo, correct? Even so, I think it would be better than not having the pics at all. I always like being able to see the pictures without having to log on each time but, so be it.

Thanks, Steve! I did not win that magneto. But I came in second!! I had to decide what I was comfortable bidding on an unproven mag that in the end would not be correct anyway. Not necessarily looking for correctness now, just would like to get it going, but would be willing to pay more for the right thing. At the same time a 42 degree Bosch ZEV was offered. Went for a lot more. Still looking. Dale

Dale, i just referred a fellow here in town restoring a 29JDwho contacted Tom who took on new work from this fellow Tom did not know. i can't speak for Tom, but i think he has been "burned" in the past from non-payment or what ever the case was. i certainly don't have any personal relationship with Tom, but when he sent me his bill, i paid for it. i know Tom does not do phone calls due to, i believe, hearing issues, but i believe if you contacted Tom and would pay him as for how he wants to be paid, you would "establish" yourself as a customer. probably paying an amount in advance for Tom's services to be rendered would be how to become an "established customer." just a suggestion, but imho, certainly worth a try.
did you buy that that magneto that was on ebay ?

Thank you, Steve! Tom Cotten would be my first choice, also. I've never heard anything but great stuff about his work. Unfortunately, I realize he only accepts work from established accounts. Sadly, I'm not established. Thanks for the reply!

I used Valvoline 50w VR-1 racing oil. It has some zinc in it, the price is reasonable, and it's on the shelves at many auto parts stores. I've also used 50w Lucas motorcycle oil.

Hey, Kevin! A friend of mine, Robbie, took care of it for me using a torch. I messed with it a bit with an iron and a torch with less than stellar results. He did a nice job.
