      i think you should weld them together lee!!! i restored a 46 fl in 1985 that the engine had completely blown the bottom out of in 1950. it had sat in a barn all those years until it went down through the wood floor. i traded a 30 model a ford coupe for a chopper with a guy from new hampshire in 85 to get a good running 46fl motor. those two numbers were 3 numbers apart.
