It wasn't me Bob that sold the Gas Caps if that is what you are insinuating. I was just being sarcastic and I think the whole thing is hysterical when I see grown men getting all worked up over nothing! Just because someone out there, most probably in another country who bought a 150K early Knuckle and it is missing the Gas Caps and another guy who also needs them a bidding war starts and this kind of stuff happens. And notice how the guys who are the ones crying the whole profiteer/shill bidder thing don't dare say anything about THIS gas cap seller and his auction! I wonder why??? A few years ago when I was getting rid of the bulk of my collection I was the one getting called the "profiteer" by more than one person. The funny thing is that if you stepped up to the plate and paid the price for the stuff I sold and kept it 2 to 3 years you could have doubled or even tripled your money on some of the stuff. Or look at it like if you didn't wait 2 to 3 years to buy it look how much you saved considering todays prices. And if someone does make money off of anyting I sold god bless them. That is the way of the world if you are buying a new car, an old motorcycle part of even groceries at the local grocery store. As a seller on ebay I know that bidders with transactions that number in the thousands and even tens of thousands or items are usually involved in the Ebay Global Shipping Program. All the items I sold to these buyers went to a CA address and then most probably on to Japan. I assume that because the name that came with the paypal payment is Japanese. And from what I saw back when you could see what they were bidding on they buy anything from motorcycle parts to toilet paper which is a luxury in some Asian countries. 46ELOriginally posted by wideglide38 View PostComment

As you mentioned they have thousands and tens of thousands of purchases.
For two items I listed they both bid bringing the sale to amazing prices.
There is a Japanese culture that love the bikes like we do any have very deep pockets.
I was curious if they were biding for a specific buyer or general buying and reselling in Japan, not sure which it is.
The gas caps and knuckle bumper fit this pattern of prices that to us are beyond belief.Comment
