  • 1925 JD Breather Gear Clocking in Cam Chest

Guys Im rebuilding a 25 JD. I'm installing the oil breather gear beside the pinion gear and trying to find info about cloking the gear. It has a mark on the gear. The pics I took before disassembly looks like the mark is clocked to the 1 o-clock position. Please confirm before I close the cover..... Thanks in advance.

Once all the cam timing is done and all the dots lined up you will find an inverted U / V shape stamped at about 1 o'clock on the boss that surrounds the crankcase breather.
The dot on the breather is centralised in this U / V.
Don't rotate the engine at all prior to fitting the breather valve in this position.
