  • 1937 UL oil pump

Has anyone have any opinion about a aftermarket oil pump for a 1937 UL. trying to decide which to use aftermarket upgraded or stock

  • #2
For a stock motor driven as normal a stock pump will be fine.

A "four vane" rotor does move more oil, but won't impress ohv riders much.

The aftermarket gerator style pumps move a ton of oil and do make a difference, but you must upgrade the return and think through valve covers.

i do run a four vane on my '46, but it's also 90"

Real simple -- you buy the scavenge kit that is sold separate from the oil pump kit:

The CHP feed and scavenge pumps are meant to work as a set.

They are just very pricey at $600 for the feed and $400 for the return.
