I'm pretty sure the hack is a "National". If your putting together a rig for a J-Model wouldn't you be looking for an H-D tub? I believe the National and Rogers were put on a variety of makes. I'm curious as to why you would think it didn't belong on my Powerplus? Your trade options do sound intriguing but aren't compatible to anything in my stable at the moment. I think I'll hang on to the tub for now but would be glad to keep my eyes open for what your looking for and will post it if I see something. Best of Luck!!

Hi, I am building a 1916 HD model J and have been trying to piece togeather a sidecar rig, the tub you have is what i am needing, I believe it to be a 15 thru 17 rogers, i have a 18 thru 23 tub to trade or have $ if you are interested in letting it go, doesn't really go with your bike, would help me out lots! also have a 13/14 HD sidecar frame, springs and wheel jrklover@hotmail.com

Thanks Cory , I wont be doing the mating for a while but hope next year I will find the time !! which seems to go far too quickly these days !!! anyway , any ideas on the make , I bought this sidecar from a dealer of American bikes in England about 25 - 30 years ago , was going to fit it on my 1918 Harley but never got round to it but now I have a 1916 Excelsior that it will look terrific on as both are similar patination , hope I can put pics on here . http://lh6.ggpht.com/_6fq-xZ_IQSA/TN...20-%20Copy.JPG

Ken!!! Good to see you speaking up again! Butt on in all you want! Got any pics of your elusive sidecar? I'm really thrilled to have the ol' hack it needs some work and parts but I'm confident it will roll eventually...... Now.... Clyde's pics were just working not too long ago.... I can't view 'em either.

Same here, likely a problem with the upload of the file.

Also I have an early American sidecar that's been in my garage for about 25 years , I also need advice as to manufacturer , similar to Cory's but very noticeably has just the one 1/4 leaf spring at the front in the middle and 'C' springs at the rear , can I butt in on this thread with it or start a new one?? the clamps are same as on Cory’s , which I have seen on an Excelsior for sale in Holland , I want to attach the sidecar to my 1916 Excelsior , will look great as both have similar patina !!!! many thanks for interesting thread , there's not enough info on early sidecars , also ?? was there a link between Golding and Dusting sidecars (of Australia) as the chassis look similar ??

What we think is an early Henderson sidecar wheel as it is identical to one on a mates 1918 Henderson rig.
