Can you leave rear crash bars on a 46 U and mount side car or does it have to be off

The sidecar and safety guard mount in the same place. So it is one or the other but not both.Be sure to visit;

My 44UL with sidecar and rear crash bar. Same way it has been the last 45 years....

For the same reason factory photos don't show rear guards on solo machines either, rear guards are options, not part of any standard group. Did you notice the quantity of nuts listed? The spacers are the same nuts that hold the mount on.Originally posted by VPH-D View PostRobbie,

They're handles for pushing; to get the rear wheel out of a hole. I've always run rear bars. They finish the shape of the machine down the left side, and they act as leather-saddlebag guards.Originally posted by Bubbalowe View PostHaving slid down the road I understand how spill bars protect legs. Point taken, place for siren to mount and highway pegs also.
