The problem was a worn spark advance!! I replaced it and the R69S started on the first kick. There are times it is a bit reluctant to start, but that may be because the Bing carburetors are worn. I have taken it on several trips this past fall, and was able to make it home each time. After the BMW and I have our valves worked on this winter, we should be ready for more and longer tripts this year. Again, thank you all for your input.
