Somewhere around this point that I got wrapped up in what I was doing and forgot about taking pictures.

This is what I ended up with.

Big development with the Chief project. My engine & trans was finished and delivered.

The engine & trans work was done by John Biven of Indian Resto in California.

Who know when the last time this frame has had an engine in it?

Beautiful. John does amazing work. He's done two Chiefs motor as well as frame and gas tank work on a Four for me. Your Chief will be a joy to drive.

I also have a 38 project and am watching and learning. Very nice and thank you for posting. Bummer on the first pictures of your 38 from PB.

That is gorgeous, and I love the fabrication pics of your kickstand. Not to hurt anyone's feelings about Harleys, but Indian sure had them beat on looks.

A couple of pics of trimming out the Chief.

Got the chain guard & belt guard fitted on there. Trans linkage & oil lines installed. We should be running by spring time.

I didn't take any pictures but I am particularly proud of the transmission shifter lever. It originally had a piece of pipe welded to it for a jockey shift. I was able to mill that thing off of it and build it up with a 55 nickel/stainless rod and reshape the profile and redrill the holes.
