i've taken many a $20 bill from people betting i could start my 37 flat 80 with my hand. i rode it down to bike night at silverados last year in nashville and did it in front of 100 or more people and i'll be 60 on friday 17th. no compression releases either

if you look close you can see the extended kicker arm,i use to have a better pic of the right side ,but its gone.notice the carb is on the right side as well as all the controls,but there are foot pedals in the car.

my guess is that something in the modifications process was hitting the end of the coil - boy it seems common sense is just out of your grasp :-) :-)

This was a '47 Chief with a 1950 motor. I stumbled on this bike about 15 years ago. It was in a sleepy little town about 45 miles north of Orlando. I can't remember how I got the lead but I did check it out and sure enough it was real, contrary to 99% of the wild goose chases we find ourselves on. My first impression was disappointment mixed with disinterest. The guy wanted $5,000. I said no way and politely said thanks for the showing. I gave him my phone # and got a call as soon as I got home. The price was dropped a grand. I said no thanks. I'll cut through the tedium of phone calls that finally reduced the price to $1,750. At that price I couldn't refuse. I think the only reason I got this bike is because I didn't want it, which is often how life works.Eric Smith
