Dear All, we do have a Board Member mediating between disputing AMCA members, and it's Richard Spagnolli, who has taken over the Better Business Bureau function since Peter Heintz retired. Both parties will need to want a solution - not easy with us cranky old guys - but Richard will do a good job. If someone has broken the law then he cannot help, and likewise if both parties are not AMCA members.
Kevin Valentine and I have been drafting Website conduct rules, and these will be posted when they are agreed. They will include a strong reminder not to post defamatory or obscene remarks, and the 'Vendors Rated' section of our Website is the part that seems to attract the worst conduct. Given that people are slow to praise and quick to criticise; bad news travels faster than good; the dice are loaded in favour of even ill-informed criticism etc., then I'd be happy to see this section dropped - but as a part-time vendor I would say that.
