The " Enthusiast" was first published in 1916, and has become the longest ,continuous, motorcycle publication, still being produced today.

            • THIS IS AN OLD FLOYD CLYMER REPRINT OR THE 4TH ENTHUSIAST. AS BEFORE THE ENTHUSIAST THERE WAS ANOTHER HARLEY FACTORY PUBLICATION I BELIEVE CALLED THE DEALER NEWS. RAT SCHERK HAD SOME OF THESE AS BOUND VOLUMES AND SOLD THEM BACK TO HARLEY. YEARS AGO A COLLECTOR FRIEND FOUND A STACK OF THESE VERY FIRST ISSUES OF THE ENTHUSIAST IN THEIR ORIGINAL MAILER ENVELOPES AT A GENERAL FLEA MARKET AND BOUGHT THEM ALL FOR PEANUTS!

Glad to see this thread is still active, will try to make a few contributions.

This guy posing on his VL is clearly impressing the girls. His nickname was "Kilowatt" as he was an electrical engineer.

                        Another picture with Mr. Kilowatt

And then there is the idea that we are here on earth to get a certain amount of things done before we die.
                        This is a great theory.
If it is true, I am so far behind that I will never die...
