Small World! Who knew!
Although this isn't an ad I think it will count. I first saw this ticket 30'ish years ago and decided a couple weeks ago to see if the guy still had it. Well he did and he decided to sell it. Ya just never know.
25 cents and the ladies were free. They knew how to do it!

Dick, have you seen the July 1910 Milwaukee Journal Comet Motorcycle Co. ad with accompanying short paragraph? Granted this is a "factory" ad and not a dealer ad. The ad makes mention of spring frame & spring fork, single cylinder 40 Horse Power. LOL, I think the typesetter forgot to place a period between the 4 and 0.

Where the car is parked was the location of Walter & Wittig on Lovers Lane at N. Main St. This is the only ad I ever found for Comet Motorcycles. Lover Lane is now called Union St. In the Wisconsin registrations there were a number of Comet owners in the Hartford area. Where are those bikes now? I tracked down relatives who had no idea their ancestors owned Comet and Indian motorcycles which is pretty typical. Nobody had any photos.

Typical roads for 1910. Imagine what it was like when it rained or snowed. Water tower in the back ground was for the Kissel Motor Car Co.
