  • Not sure who this rider is. Pretty sure it's not Putt Mossman, but a daredevil none the less! Only note I have is that the photographer was Richard Olson. No relation of mine that I'm aware of.

'Chris Draves - One of my favorites from the family archive. Three ladies on an Indian motorcycle. This was taken at a farm outside of Fort Atkinson, WI somewhere in the 1920’s. I did some restoration to this photograph using photoshop.'
that's a Harley, not an Indian. likely a 1911 model by the little of it visible.

You let Vintage Pic of the Day go by without a pic.

              Might as well get edgy...

Tom Loughridge on an Aeramccci in a wet and cold 250 Manx Grand Prix 1967. Nothing but air under both wheels.

PS: Late edit: Prophetically, it now appears that Liberty has acquired another shop cat. after successfully keeping the crawlspace clean for two decades; It matches the midnight-black shop dog, although peaceful co-existence is still conjecture.

I'll dub it the new NightShift, if it can survive on its own. Somebody dumped it too young to even tell its sex. I made the mistake of feeding it.

                      • Question: Does anyone know what brochure or catalog this still was shot for? It looks really familiar.

I don't know but he appeared in a number of 1925 shots, One of these pictures had the filename "Uncle Frank and Steno" I don't know what that tells us.

                          • Thanks PFindlay.

The author, "Uncle Frank", was a contributor to The Motorcyclist Magazine in the 1930s-40s, and wrote this mechanical manual in a question and answer format that covers many phases of motorcycle operation, upkeep, and repair, ranging from simple to complex.

Where did the curb feelers go, M.A.D.?

                                I like curb feelers.
