The funny thing about Harleys (and often all motorcycles), is, some examples just look better than bikes of the same year, and maker. The above picture that Bob posted is a good example and perhaps it's the photograph, or the setting, but I have noticed that some bikes of the same year just have a better stance, profile, and look that shouldn't be any different than a manufacturer's other bikes of that same year. Regardless, that is a great looking VL.

I had a Goulding sidecar that I got from Puckett's Harley-Davidson located on the notorious SOB Trail in Orlando (South Orange Blossom Trail). I hacked and hewed it out of the jungle on the South end of their lot along with 3 Indian 101 Wall of Death bikes (no motors/trans, or fenders). Buddy Puckett was deceased at that time so the deal was made with his cousin Richard. . . Buddy wouldn't have sold any of those items. The sidecar went to Bruce Palmer, and the 101s were parted out, and are long gone. I have no idea what Bruce did with that sidecar but he probably had the same opinion as me. . . UGLY!Eric Smith
