Picture #2490 looks like an early 1931 Harley VL. It has the first year oval toolbox and flat lens Motolamp, but not the later 1931 trumpet air intake. The optional front stand is a little unusual on domestic bikes.

The young lady on the Honda in #2500 has Paris plates on the bike.

The serial number on the tank in picture 2508 is in the range for a batch of US Army1931 Indian 101 Scouts, according to Palmer's How to Restore Your Military Harley-Davidson.

Steve, since Indian didn't assign model years to the 101 models, the one in the picture above would mostly be attributed to 1930 production (rear brake on LH side) ...but the motor number would tell the story!

The 101 is a 1930 model as the first year John Brown headlight was side mounts and 1931 was a single base mount.

Thanks guys and I'm just quoting Palmer here. He says Army registration numbers 601-653 went to a batch of 53 1930 Indian 101 Scouts, and Army registration numbers 654-6155 went to a batch of 102 1931 Indian 101 Scouts. I agree some 1931 model Indians would have been built in 1930, and conversely some 1930 Indians might not get titled until 1931.
