I saw this bike in a museum right on A1-A, next to the beach, in Daytona Beach back in about 1975. I thought the name of the museum was the 'Museum of Speed' but I may be mistaken. The other famous racing machine there was Malcom Campbell's 'Blue Bird'. Both machines, along with everything else in that museum was in poor, to diminishing condition as I don't believe they had air conditioning. Being on the beach was really taking a toll on the machines on display and I seem to remember that my gear head friend, David and I were the only paying guests. I've wondered if that '36EL was the genuine item, or if there were others built for promotion. Also, I wonder it that is Joe Petrali's Mother on the tank? Sorry for that stupid comment; it just amazes me how old people looked in those days and I don't know if it's the clothes or the hard life. Finally, look how dapper Joe is dressed and how his boots are polished. He had the reputation for always being perfectly groomed, and clothed which went with his first class attitude towards engineering, and competition.Originally posted by BigLakeBob View PostEric Smith

B and B... Brown and Barlow Not common but I've had a few..Used on a few early teens machines..Cleveland in the early days was one..If I needed one rebuilt..I probably would call you CheersRossComment
