Fantastic picture of two rare, and early motorcycles. On the right is the very rare Marsh-Metz 90 degree twin, and on the right is a beautiful blue '11-'12 Flying Merkel. Both well accessorized, and dolled up.

He's certainly tall enough, but his jaw would be more square, I think.

Exactly Cotten...the 'rocket packs' were an easy way of eliminating the competition...

The early Indians had those cylinder shaped pacts on their down tubes, well for racing purposes, Indian relocated atop the frame and hid the electronic components in those 'rocket packs'. This being the 1908 Race Carnival event, with speed records & bragging rights at hand, some of the extra pacts were ready to go back-up electronics. The pacts also protected the components from the salt water and sand elements.
