    Linkert Carb Question for 741

I am piecing together a non-matching numbers Indian 741 (Seemed like a good idea at the time).

Learning that parts for this model are harder to come by than those for Chiefs or so it seems to me.

    I do not have a M-741 carburetor.

Rather than buying a 930 Amal spigot carb and adapting it to the Indian manifold.

I do see an opportunity to buy a Junior Scout 30:50 Linkert M541

From what I can find they both use the same manifold so there is that

    Both are 500cc

From what I have found the 741 venturi is 3/4" and the Junior Scout 30:50 venturi is 1/16 smaller

    QUESTIONs:

Would the M541 be sufficent "as is" for the 741?
    OR
Will the M541 accept the larger 3/4" venturi?

    Yes and yes, Paul,...

But by my notes, an M541 crossed my benches with a miniscule 5/8" venturi,
    M741s usually had a 3/4", and M741-1 had 13/16" (102624).

Unless you are a very large payload, or hope for maximum fuel mileage, I would suggest the 102624.

        You're welcome, Paul!

        But I'm nothing special.

I just 'read' carburetors, so others don't have to...
