Cast Iron Fin repair inside <------

Hey All, since I'm new here Id like to share a repair I just did on a set of square base cylinders. These needed a bunch of fin repair, valve seats, and a sleeve, All work was done by me in my hobby shop.

    Broken exhaust spigot

I used the cast iron bar, bored out on the lathe and sized to the correct OD

Spigot welded on, I use lots of pre and post heat, and 99NI stick welding rod that I clean the flux off and TIG with it

For the smaller repairs i was able to use some donor fins, but for this big one I used a good old fry pan, it was the right thickness

Hey, Pan620 I have not but I know a lot of guys do, I've just had pretty good success with NI99 so have stuck with it
