  • Unknown Fenders

Does anyone know what models these fenders were made for? They are both definitely Indian, though the seller did not name the models or years. This one is a rear fender. Indian Fender 1B.jpg Indian Fender 1C.jpg
    Thanks.

Here's the second. This one is a front fender.

The second screams Indian to me. Looks like someone may have trimmed off the skirts. First one to me is unknown. Jerry

Top one appears to be generic 70s and 80s chopper fender available in multiple widths undrilled.

Here is an old beat one. They usually end up in the scrap pile.

          Robbie,
They came from Randy Zorn, so they are both confirmed Indian. No reproductions here.
He's clearing out his 40 year collection of parts.
          Thanks.

1944 Essential Civilian Chief had similar fenders

...if they were 40's Indian the rear would have a cutout for the chain guard and the front would have a recess for the forks

No, he didn't list the information for whatever reason. He only said he thought the first one is a military fender.
I have both a 40-45 Chief Essential use rear fender and a side-car fender and they are not like these. I have Bogaert's book and looked at his photos of fenders and these don't look like CAV or any after up to 45. I have seen the front one on civilianized 741 restorations, however, obviously, they are neither one the correct 741 fenders. I might use them on one but have to see if the fender braces will line up. Don't know, that's why I posted them. I haven't found them yet in the books.
                  Thanks.
