Stuck in a gear after rebuild

I hate that. When I have to pull one of my Henderson motors, I want to find a big problem that is easy, and obvious to fix. So Ben, do you have any theories, or even a good guess?

Hi Eric. I don't have the slightest idea what was wrong. Like I said, everything worked good after the pan was pulled. Going camping this weekend so will not get back to the install until next week. This bike will be for sale after I get it running. Getting too old to ride anymore.

Guess what? the bolt that holds the slider gear is too thick. Hits the inspection hole boss and stops the action. I'll grind it down and hopefully that will fix my problem.. Hung the new hoist today so should be able to put the engine back together tomorrow and install. Ben
