  • Chief nipple removal tool

    I am looking to find out if someone has a nipple removal tool they could post a picture of? also a rivet install tool, Thanks in advance

    On Harleys I never turn out the nipples. I cut them and then peel them out. You chance running threads by turning them out.

      Agreeing with Jerry, the design is the same for Indians, Folks!

      (Although they are more forgiving...)

      Extra attention should be given to sealing the rivet, using a tapered head instead of a button head:

      The taper seals into the nipple from the inside, pressed outward by the cam-action anvil, so a malleable rivet can easily barrel out on its shank for a seal, and "upset" to a slight mushroom outside to lock it.

      Over-peening is the mark of an amateur; Please bubble-test again after any sealant has cured.
