Hello everyone. Been awhile since I've posted....too cold to go into the garage here in Chicago area, so I brought a project into the kitchen. I am trying to rebuild a Schebler DLX 81 for a '32 Chief. The venturi was frozen inside of it....and after careful extraction, it is now in about 30 pieces. Been trying to locate a replacement, but can't seem to find one anywhere. It is listed as 1 1/4" - 15/16". It definitely isn't brass....and I'm guessing it is comprised of pot metal, just like the carb itself. Can I use a linkert venturi with the same 1 1/4" - 15/16" dimensions, or is that a completely different animal? I also have a DLX 91 carb which there doesn't seem to be much info on except that it was probably on '32-'34 Chiefs that were sent overseas, and I need a venturi for that one also. These schebler venturi's seem to be listed as model X, model Y, model Z and so on. No idea what model venturi is accurate for a '32 Chief.
If anyone knows who I can source these venturi's from, I would appreciate it. Also if there are venturi's with other dimensions that one could modify to make work, I would be interested in learning about that also. Thanks for any and all info you might have. Brent.
