Greetings all! I found a helpful topic started by CSCOTT in 2009 on how to remove Pushrod Guides. I'm ready to install my new Pushrod Guides into my 48 Chief. Any suggestions on the best method to press them in? Due to the insertion angles on the crankcase, it looks like I might need a jig.

Pushrod Guide Installation
Okay Ice best I could find on topic is from VirtualIndian group [https://groups.io/g/VirtualIndian]
(Are you there?)
This from Mike Tomas of Kiwi Indian 11/14/2009
"Check interference fit before installation.
Preheat case in an oven to 250 deg.
Pushrod guides are pressed in using Loctite product for sealing. While
the case bore has a very fine micro finish as well as the pushrod guide,
the Loctite is merely used as an insurance policy should any oil want to
try and migrate upwards.
Cases are then allowed to cool slowly.
Whether they be original cases or our Kiwi reproduction cases (and
original and Kiwi pushrod guides), the interference fit is the same."
"I am going off memory (as my prints are stored off site) but I believe the push rod guides are a 0015 to .002 interference fit."
Original post is longer but that is the gist of it.
There are other valve guide related posts there worth a look.

And the Loctite to use is the green 603 retaining compound. Not red or blue thread locker.
