Well, I had A LOT of improvements over the weekend! I was at an Indian event in Chester Ma. The bike is running and starting thanks to a friend who took it step by step and followed the problems till he had it running. What it came down to was 1st he could see I was hanging up on something when i was kicking. He took the chain guard off and checked the kicker spring and shaft. The shaft was a mess! Needed to be cleaned and lubed. That made a big difference. After getting it started, he dialed in the carburetor. We advanced the timing and seemed to be very close. I can now start the bike and ride it. "Bob you rock" I still have some fine tuning on the timing, but I am very very close. I learned a lot from Bob and will be riding the bike this coming weekend at the Greenfield Ma. AMCA Yankee meet. What a difference a week makes.
