I have a late 39 Chief and the seat post was replaced and seems not to be moving. I am not sure how to adjust it to get it moving. I don't think it is ceased in the bushing. Thanks for any suggestions.

It may be bent, remove it and check it with a straight edge. Another problem may be that a spring cracked and is jammed up in the lower tube. Pull the whole thing out and clean/inspect it, should be a easy fix.Boone member #15941
