Am I looking in the wrong places or are these hard to find.

Looking through the Pohlman and privateer pictures of XLR’s that I’ve been collecting, I noticed that both of these bikes lack mudguard brackets.
99% of XLR's in pictures show the bikes with mudguard brackets but,,, a big percentage of the pictures that are available online are rebuilt bikes.
I had a squiz at the Front fork section of the 1952 - 65 KRTT, XLRTT, parts book, but it only lists a complete fork side which has an R number.
eg FORK SIDE COMPLETE. RIGHT. SHORT. 52 to 65 KR, KRTT, XLRTT 45942-54R.
Questions:
Does this complete R fork side (FORK SIDE COMPLETE. RIGHT. SHORT. 52 to 65 KR, KRTT, XLRTT 45942-54R) have fender mounts?
Was Don Hawley a factory, or dealer, sponsored racer or a privateer?
Do any of the forum members have documentation on a R part number for the bracket-less sliders?
There are a couple of youtube videos showing XLRTT at Peoria going over the jump at full speed. I guess if they got that bit wrong a new front end would be in order.

I scored this lower fork tree recently, thinking it may have been an all elusive XLR lower. But now I don’t know???
Part number forged on the tree is H664
1” inch stem (didn’t notice that at time of impulse buy) which is 7-11/16” long (196mm).
To give a comparison, the stem on a K and Sporty is about 15/16” diam and 6-15/16” (176mm) long.
It has been machined for K model & Sporty 33.30”mm fork tubes but the centre is 165mm instead of 167mm
It has rake built into the stem like an XLR triple tree.
Anybody know what it is?

Thanks Robbie. After your suggestion, I called a friend and he confirmed that it is Trumpy. I’ll give it to him for Christmas. Yeah! I know! I should be more astute when buying parts...but where’s the fun in that.

I have early and late style lowers and nos slider tubes in both styles as well as complete front ends and triple tees.

Thanks Robbie. What do you think “polished” means. The sliders are steel so is the factory using it as a hip and happening term for chrome, or does it mean relieved of fender brackets? Thanks for braking out some of your memorabilia.

The factory fork boots were available as late as 5 years ago, I can't imagine why. Old Dude has some boots listed, too.

Some parts for my project bike arrived today and are sitting on my bench....along with a couple extra gems that I wasn't expecting.
AMCA network at its finest. Future Steve will post some pictures next week with the parts fitted. Cant do it now...I'm packing to go to the Bendigo swap meet.
