I’m convinced that there all made by the same manufacture and distributed by everybody in the after market racket. I have no experience with after market grips but the kicker peddle rubber, foot clutch pads and floor board rubbers absolutely suck. They are so soft compared to the oem ones that I have chosen not to use them. I just keep pounding the halls of Fleese-Bay waiting on originals to pop up. Every once an a while a pair of vintage auto brake peddle rubbers show up under #60 made by Anchor Rubber Co. These are great for the clutch and brake but ya got to buy two pairs. The checker patern is just slitly differant than the oem ones but I've never seen them in red. I have always wondered if Harley made red accseory springer grips? Bob L

The only red grips H-D made for the springer bars were the hard plastic type, never the rubber ribbed ones. And they never made colored pedal pads until the white ones in the '60s that are the slip over type. All the red pads are crap like Bob says!

When you say slip over type are you referring to the 63 up popsicle style kicker pedal? I thought all you could get for kicker pedals, floorboard rubbers, and clutch and brake pedal rubbers in 50 were black. I know you could get coloured handlebar waffle grips in red, white, blue and yellow besides black in 50. White kicker pedal rubbers became available in 61, and the ribbed handlebar grips were a 62 introduction.
And the white pedal pads from the '60s were the first colored pedal pads from H-D. Those are brake and clutch pedal pads (slip on type!), I never mentioned anything about kicker pedals or other '60s accessories as that was not a question I was responding to.
Colored Kicker pedals in plastic were available in the late '40s and then again in the '50s. They were hard plastic. All the rubber two piece kicker pedal pads in color were aftermarket. Also plenty of plastic ones from Beck and CMS. Grips too.
However those parts were never supplied by H-D in colored rubber.
