I think that is when the frame was made, not when the motorcycle was completed!

no it would not be the date it left the factory because they would have had to pull the gas tanks off to stamp it.
I just went and look at mine and it is located on the rear mount and back gas tank mount on the right side of the frame mount
in the middle of the top gas tank mount and the top motor mount . Mine has a 2 and then a A the 2 stands for 1962 and the
A stands for the month of Jan. and so on B for Feb. C for MarchComment
