  • unknown seat pan

    Well, Guys,
I wasn't sure where to post this, but it looks like a Panhead seat from the top, with speedball trim. Anyone know what this seat actually belongs on? Is it just a weird re-pop?
    Thanks, Doug.

Are you refering to the stud locations? Looks like maybe a repro designed to work with little chrome springs instead of a seat-T and pogo stick.

Not just the the stud locations, there is also no front mount, just a single threaded insert in the pan. Also the pan is formed and punched in the proper area for the inserts to mount to the seat tee.

What is the spacing on the studs and the distance to the front hole? In the '50s and '60s it was common to mount H-D solo seats to BMW hardware for use on those bikes. I can check a seat tee for comparison. It could be an aftermarket seat set up for that application.
