    Dallas!

Hand impact drivers are very very cheap: Harbor Freight
New caps are made by Colony.

Your other alternatives include removal of the pump; At that point you can grab the cap in a vise, apply heat, or whatever it takes. You probably don't need to go that far.

New gears will not stop sumping, and rarely go bad anyway. If you feel you need them, they are available from plenty of legitimate sources you can trust.

Thanks for the reply, Cotten. No, I don't think I need new gears, they were just part of the offered package. I certainly don't want to be the next DM horror story, so I'm glad to hear I can replace the Check Valve Plug if needed.

Thanks for the Colony reference, just e-mailed them for a catalog. Harbor Frieght is about 30 miles from me, but I make a list as needs come up, and make the drive every couple of months. Just need an excuse, and you've helped give me one.

Thank you again for your advice and expertise...it is much valued.

use red belray for your tranny then you will know if it's main tranny seal or drip off from primary oiling, pan's don't leak, they mark their spots.
