Seat Spring Retention

Hello all, which buddy seat overload spring frame brackets are used on a ‘65 FLH? The hook latch style at the bottom or the style at the top where the peg on the bottom of the springs just slip in?

I thought the hook-latch type was '65-only, Jim!

But I am wrong so often..

They use the hook latch in '65, discontinued probably because the hook handles break off at the weak point, so use sparingly.

Don't throw it away, Jim!

If the pieces are there, I would suggest a silver-solder repair, such as upon saw blades and such.

They ain't gonna be re-popped soon.

(You will be forced to fake the cad, however, as it doesn't stick the same...)

Definitely won’t throw it out, plan to use them Cotten. I’m just glad I was able locate them and confirm they are correct. It’s great that folks like you are contributors to this forum.
