1948 EL Front Header Pipe Clamp(s)

Trying to determine the correct set up mounting the front header pipe on my 48 project. Parts manual shows 655121-37 as the only clamp but many other online sources refer to the two clamp setup seen in the attached photo. From what I can tell the two clamp arrangement was introduced with the swing arm in 1958 therefore making the single clamp correctfor rigid frame applications.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

Parts book doesn't show it but it is my understanding that the front header pipe uses the 2-piece clamp.

Palmer discusses this s bit and he seems uncertain cuz this is another 48 oddball one year deal, I suspect. Thanks for chiming in. Two clamp arrangement it is.
