  • '48 Panhead - inner chainguard rear spring attachment

    Hi Guys

The Inner chainguard is attached at the upper rear by a nut and bolt and spring etc. The three frame components are; inner crankcase, oil tank, and chainguard. In what order, inside to outside, are these fitted and is the enclosed photo the right way to connect? I'm assuming the spring is there to allow some flexing of the inner chain guard?

Is the lower rear fitting the same, in that the spring is located between the inner chain guard and the frame?

    Thanks

    Greg
