    Hello does anyone know about the two rectangular castings when did they start useing them.

      You are referring to the two raised castings on the brake drum, located at the outer edge on the flat side, 180-degrees opposite to each other.

        If I remember correctly I saw another style at Davenport this year, it does not have the 2 tabs as in photo 1 but it is circular at the center where it mounts to the hub as in photo 2, (meaning the boss is not star shaped). As far as which years had which style, I am also curious. Bob AMCA#6738
