Folks,

Beware of V-TWIN's repops that have their vents moved above the gasket, as shown on the right in my attachment.
Modern fuels can swell the gaskets and block the vents.

Liberty lost a custom paintjob when I parked the machine in the sun.

The location of the vent on the V-Twin cap is the same as the original tall eaton gas caps. You need to trim about 3/16 off of the outside edge of the gasket and then your problem is solved. The same things will happen with original caps if you put new rubber gaskets in them.
