Pulled the speedometer off my '46 EL yesterday. It's not working, but believe it is original and correct. Would appreciate any input. The glass on this is domed. But I can't read any lettering on the back.
The needle is white and swings freely and the drive turns. But there is no movement when I spin the drive. The trip meter would probably reset, but I don't want to force it. There don't seem to be any loose bits inside!
I'd rather get this restored than buy a repro speedo head, so any recommendations on a good speedometer or instrument restorer would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Sirhr
