2 Questions: The grease fitting on the backing plate [springer] that's for the operating arm,does an extension [like the axle] apply,or just the fitting,and what size is it, [5/16?]
The grease fittings I found[local hardware] do not have threads,[press in?] I cannot see any fitting on the exploded view drawings,or a part#. Also, on Bruce Palmer's chapter on brakes pg. 115 [in my book], there's a photo of brake cams,accordingly, the book states the cam 2nd from rt. is a rear cam. This is the one I have and it's the one with the bevel.
Can someone clear this up?. And,since mine fits,I'll assume it's correct,and with that, which way does the bevel face. The drum I have is not original, but came new[missing the fitting] with an original set of forks.
