Clutch Steel Drive Disc with Anti Rattle Device Stamped "Out"

My Question is are Clutch Steel Drive Discs with Anti Rattle Devices actually directional and thus the reason they have one side stamped "Out"
The reason I ask is I've noticed some reproductions are NOT stamped. So if they are not stamped how would you know which side faces OUT?
    Or does it really matter?
    Thanks clutch challenged

The "OUT" is for plates with factory anti-rattle springs, they are directional. Plates without springs can go in either way.

Understand, but if you have a set of reproduction plates with anti-rattle device that are NOT stamped "Out" is there a way to tell which side would go out?
I have a set that are not stamped and would like to know i'm installing them correctly.

They go the direction shown in the Service Manuals...

Hope you have better luck with the repops then I did. Clutch fibers rubbed against them and made the clutch drag. They are not needed so buyer beware. Plus they come apart.

The rattle devices go to the clockwise side because the clutch hub spins counter clockwise.
