I adjust my horn to where it sounds great but when the bike is started it weakens up a bit. Has anyone rubber mounted the horn with success but not detracting from originality? If so let me know what you did. Thanks in advance.

Mac, I measured the 45 knuckle and the 41 flatly. Instead of measuring CL to the hole I measured to the face of the horn mount looking forward because I couldn’t get an accurate consistent measurement down the exact center of the fender. Both were at 18-3/16”.

To correctly adjust the horn you have to use an ammeter. See Palmer's.Be sure to visit;

Thanks for the pictures. I knew I had a 6 bolt horn, not a 9 bolt but I didn’t realize the mounting was totally different. Parts book wasn’t much help and Palmer didn’t have a picture of a 9 bolt, just a description. I will have to prioritize finding a 9 bolt and make due until.
